Interview with Valeriy

We bring you a series of interviews with our colleagues. We ask them different questions to introduce them in more detail.

You work at Kačerov. How does a typical shift differ from other branches?

Kačerov has many clients on a clear rhythm: fade, beard lines, quick length checks. The pace is higher, so I keep blends clean even on full days. They appreciate a final styling minute even more then.

High fade and taper fade are among your favorites. How do you explain the choice?

High fade starts higher, looks bolder, and fits modern shapes. Taper fade is softer with a longer blend, often with classic side part or short crop. I show both directions in the mirror and let the client choose what fits head shape and dress code.

You speak Czech, Ukrainian, and English. Who feels the biggest relief?

Clients who moved to Prague and book a barbershop in a new language for the first time. When they explain what they had at home or what failed before, we can translate that into a cut on the first visit. Less stress, more trust in the chair.

Textured cut or short crop. What do you enjoy doing most right now?

I like combining a short crop with light texture on top so the shape holds without tons of product. With textured cuts I work with hair type: fine hair gets more volume, coarse hair is balanced with a fade on the sides. Every cut should have simple home maintenance.
