Interview with Maty

We bring you a series of interviews with our colleagues. We ask them different questions to introduce them in more detail.

At Hagibor you favor shorter cuts - what do you enjoy about them?

Simplicity and cleanliness. Buzz or crop look easy, but when done well everyone notices. I like how fast clients see the result, and that even short cuts demand care.

Buzz cut with faded beard - what should you watch?

Face proportions. Beard lines can lengthen or narrow the face. I always ask soft blend vs sharper contrast. With a buzz, the beard is often more important than the hair itself.

What is your communication style in the chair?

Calm and direct. I ask, show options, and let the client decide. I dislike unnecessary pressure - barbering should feel good, not stressful. When people are relaxed, the cut goes better too.

Any hobby that fits barbering?

Football and sport in general. Team discipline from the pitch fits the salon - relying on colleagues, pace, fair play. After a match it is good to clear the head before the next shift.
