Your favorite cuts are often textured - burst fade, French crop, faux hawk. What draws you in?
They have character. Clients do not look like “another guy from the street”, but still natural. Burst fade adds dynamism, French crop is great for everyday wear, and faux hawk can be bold without being over the top. I enjoy balancing trend with what suits the person.
How do you work with a client who brings an Instagram photo?
I treat the photo as a start, not dogma. I explain what we will transfer and what we will not - hair type, density, styling time at home. Sometimes the photo leads to an even better version than they imagined. What matters is that they leave happy - not the algorithm.
Fluffy styles are popular now - where is their strength?
They feel relaxed and youthful, yet can be tuned into a smarter look. With the right length and layers, hair holds shape without a ton of product. It often fits clients psychologically too - they feel fresher and more like themselves, not a copy of someone else’s cut.
What matters most to you about working at Real Barber?
Room to grow and a team that helps each other. Kačerov is fast-paced, but quality still matters. And when a client leaves smiling and immediately photos the result - that is why I do barbering.
